GetJobsNews is a small, independent publication that explains jobs, careers, and the world of work in India honestly and clearly. We occasionally work with contributors who share that mission. If you can write with accuracy, clarity, and genuine usefulness to readers, we would like to hear from you. This page explains what we look for and how to pitch.

What we publish

We publish news explainers and practical guidance about work in India: how recruitment and exams function, what career processes involve, how workplace and skilling topics affect job seekers, and analysis that helps readers understand what is happening and why. We do not publish job listings, results, admit cards, or application forms — and contributions must respect that. Our job is to explain and to point readers to official sources, not to reproduce notices.

What we look for

  • Accuracy and sourcing. Claims must be grounded in reliable, primary sources. Anything touching government recruitment, exams, or schemes should be based on official notifications and should direct readers to verify current details at the source.
  • Clarity. Plain language that a first-time job seeker and an experienced professional can both follow. No jargon for its own sake.
  • Originality. Work that is your own, not published elsewhere, and not spun or copied from other sites.
  • Reader value. A clear answer to “what does the reader learn or do differently after reading this?”
  • Honesty about limits. Pieces should never promise jobs or outcomes, and should reinforce that we are guidance, not a recruiter.

What we will not accept

  • Content that promises guaranteed jobs, selections, or results, or that could be read as a paid shortcut to employment.
  • Fabricated statistics, sources, quotes, or credentials.
  • Thin, scraped, or AI-spun rewrites of existing articles.
  • Undisclosed promotional content, affiliate schemes, or link-selling. We do not sell placements or dofollow links.
  • Anything that could facilitate fraud, or that solicits money or personal data from readers.

Editorial standards

All contributions are subject to our editorial process and are reviewed by our team before publication. We may edit for accuracy, clarity, style, and length, and we may decline pieces that do not meet our standards. Published contributions are held to the same rules as our own work, including our Editorial Policy and Corrections Policy. We do not offer bylines to conceal promotional intent, and we expect contributors to disclose any relevant interests.

How to pitch

Send a short pitch to hello@getjobsnews.co.in including:

  • A one- or two-line summary of your idea and why it matters to readers now.
  • The key sources you would rely on.
  • A brief note about you and any relevant experience (honest and verifiable — we do not use invented credentials).
  • Links to one or two writing samples, if you have them.

We are a lean team, so please allow time for a response, and understand that we cannot take on every pitch. A focused, well-sourced idea that clearly helps readers has the best chance. Thank you for wanting to contribute to honest careers journalism.
