GetJobsNews takes accuracy seriously, and we believe the honest way to handle mistakes is to fix them openly. This Corrections Policy explains how we deal with errors in our published content and how you can bring one to our attention. We would always rather be transparently accountable than quietly change something and hope no one noticed.
Our commitment
We are a small, independent editorial team, and we work to get things right the first time by relying on primary and authoritative sources. But no publication is perfect. When we discover — or you tell us about — a genuine error, we will assess it promptly and correct it where warranted. Correcting the record is a core part of the trust we ask readers to place in us.
What we correct
- Factual errors: incorrect names, dates, figures, descriptions of a process, or misstatements of what an official source says.
- Misleading content: wording that, even if technically defensible, could reasonably mislead a reader on a material point.
- Outdated information: where details have changed since publication and the change is significant, we update the article and, where useful, note that it has been updated.
Minor typographical fixes that do not change meaning may be corrected without a formal note. Substantive corrections are handled as described below.
How we correct
When we make a material correction, we fix the error in the article itself. Where appropriate, we add a brief note indicating that the piece has been corrected or updated, so readers understand the record has changed. Our aim is for the corrected article to be accurate and for the fact of the correction to be clear rather than hidden.
We do not silently delete articles to erase mistakes. If a piece is genuinely unsafe or fundamentally wrong, we will correct or, in rare cases, withdraw it — and we will be honest about why.
A note on official recruitment details
Because dates, eligibility, results, and other recruitment specifics change frequently, our articles always direct readers to verify current details on the official website of the recruiting authority. If the discrepancy you have spotted is between our summary and a newer official notification, please note that the official notification is authoritative — but we still want to know, so we can update our coverage.
How to report an error
If you believe we have published something inaccurate, please tell us. Email hello@getjobsnews.co.in with:
- The article title or link.
- The specific statement you believe is incorrect.
- What you believe the correct information is, and ideally a source (such as an official notification) we can check.
Clear, sourced reports help us act quickly. We read every correction request, though we may not be able to reply to each one individually.
Our independence
Decisions about corrections are made on editorial grounds by our team, led by the Editor-in-Chief. We do not make or withhold corrections to please advertisers, employers, or any outside party. For the broader standards behind this policy, see our Editorial Policy.
