GetJobsNews is an independent editorial publication covering jobs, careers, and the world of work in India. We report on and explain how hiring actually happens — from government recruitment cycles and private-sector trends to the practical steps behind applications, exams, interviews, and skilling. We are a small newsroom with a simple aim: help readers understand the process so they can make better-informed decisions about their careers.

What we are — and what we are not

This is the part we want to be completely clear about. GetJobsNews is a news and guidance publication. We are not a recruitment agency, we are not a job board, and we are not a placement service. We do not accept applications, forward resumes to employers, or promise interviews, jobs, or results. No one at GetJobsNews can influence a selection, expedite a form, or get anyone hired.

What we do is explain how systems work. When a major recruiter announces a hiring drive, we break down the eligibility, the stages, and the timeline in plain language, and we point you to the official notification so you can read the source yourself. When a career question keeps coming up — how notice periods work, what a particular exam pattern means, how a skilling scheme is structured — we research it and write it up honestly.

Who this is for

We write for the people who have to navigate India’s job market in real life: students finishing their degrees, first-time job seekers, working professionals weighing a switch, aspirants preparing for competitive exams, and families trying to make sense of a system that can feel opaque. If you have ever stared at a dense official notice and wished someone would just explain what it means, this publication is for you.

How we work

Our reporting leans on primary sources. For anything involving a government job, an exam, or an official scheme, we base our coverage on the relevant department’s own notifications and websites, and we tell you to verify the current details there before you act. Recruitment calendars change, dates get revised, and notifications are corrected — so we treat the official source as the final word, not our summary of it. Where we get something wrong, we correct it openly and note the change.

We are also careful about scams. India’s job market attracts a lot of fraud, and a big part of our public-interest work is helping readers spot it. A genuine recruiter never asks you to pay for a government job, and we say so, loudly and often, across our coverage.

The team

GetJobsNews is run by a small, independent editorial team. It was founded by Rahul Verma, who serves as Editor-in-Chief and sets our editorial direction and standards. Priya Menon is our Careers Editor, focused on explainers and guidance content, and Arjun Nair is a Staff Writer covering day-to-day developments. You can read more about each of us on our Meet the Team page.

We are a young publication and we do not pretend otherwise. We have no inflated history, no purchased awards, and no fabricated readership figures. What we offer is careful, honest, source-backed writing about work in India — and a commitment to being straight with you about the limits of what a publication can and cannot do.
